Andrea Hall - Wedding Celebrant Ireland - FAQ

The most popular FAQ's

Where can we get married?

The simple answer is, ANYWHERE! Independent Celebrants are not restricted by State restrictions. Your ceremony can take place in a hotel, a woodland, on a mountainside or even at your own home as it can be on private property. The possibilities are endless!

What can we include in our ceremony?

You can include ceremony enhancements like handfasting, a unity candle ceremony, ring warming or a sand ceremony. You can include songs, poems & readings of your choice. You can also include, family, friends, children & even pets should you wish! You can have as much input into your ceremony as you wish.

What day/time can we have our Ceremony?

Your ceremony can take place any day of the week and at any time of day. If you dream of a sunrise or sunset ceremony then a celebrant led ceremony is perfect for you.

Can we write our own vows?

Absolutely! This is one of the best facets of a Celebrant Led Ceremony. You can write your own vows and have them as long or as short as you like, romantic or traditional or a bit of both, it is totally up to you!

What kind of ceremony can we have?

You can have whatever kind of ceremony you desire. I will write a bespoke, personal ceremony that reflects who you are as a couple. If you want to include Religious elements, let's do it! If you don't, that's ok too! Combine different beliefs and traditions if you wish. It is your ceremony to have your way.

Can you legally marry us?

At present, Independent Celebrants in Ireland do not have solemnising status, but, by separating your Ceremony from the legalities, you are free to have a completely unique ceremony not bound by any rules or restrictions that the State or other groups impose
